Learning Ladder Childcare is committed to providing quality childcare to the Oakville Community.  We do this by hiring exceptional people, the staff have big shoes to fill & Learning Ladder Childcare has high expectations for them.


When hiring, Learning Ladder Childcare ensures that candidates have a solid educational background, hands on experience in the field & passion for children. 


40% of our team are Registered Early Childhood Educators.  The Ministry typically requires one per class, we are committed to exceeding Ministry requirements.  Some staff are working towards their ECE diploma.  We also have staff with their Early Childhood Educators Assistant diploma as well as a Child & Youth Work diploma.

Did you know that in 2007 the Ontario government passed the Early Childhood Educators Act, 2007.  This law established the College of Early Childhood Educators.  The Act includes definitions of practice, requirements for members to practise, Title Protection for use of the terms such as  "Early Childhood Educators" as well as roles of the Registrar, Registration Appeals, Complaints, Discipline etc.

We also work to match candidates with their ideal age grouping & team partners.  Once hired they are required to participate in regular professional learning.  30% of our staff attend a training every two months.


Every Learning Ladder Childcare employee has a valid first aid/CPR certificate, clear vulnerable sector check & Safe Food Handlers Certified.
